Friends, Members & Donations

You can become involved in the activities of the Trust in several different ways.   

If you would like to support the activities of the Trust and its efforts to restore the beam engine and hydro-electric plant then you can make a small annual subscription of £15 per year to become a Friend.  This will entitle you to visit the mill and view progress on the restoration efforts.  You will also be more than welcome at the various social events that will take place from time to time.  We are hoping that this option will be of interest to supporters who are not in a position to take part in the practical or administrative work of the Trust but nevertheless are keen to do something to support the Trust’s aims and objectives.

If you would like to take your interest in the activities of the Trust a stage further then you might like to consider becoming a member for a subscription of £30 per year.  Besides the benefits that Friends enjoy you can become involved in the hands-on work of the Trust, including restoration activities on the beam engine and power turbine and work to secure and enhance the fabric of the buildings and surrounding site.  You will also be able to take part in the management of the trust including securing grant funding, long and short term planning, training, site logistics and the myriad of other activities that go into making a successful heritage restoration organisation.  Members are entitled to vote at the annual general meeting and become trustees (ie directors) which will allow them to become directly involved in the management of the organisation.
